Another rough idle thread...
hey guys. my truck is idling iradically when warming up and when at operating temp. not when it's dead cold. i have replaced the ICP and the ICP plug/pigtail and got no change, however, when i unplug the ICP the idle smooths out quite a bit. this started happening after i changed out the CPS so i will be trying a new CPS tomorrow along with checking the ICP and IPR with a scanner with the truck running at idle. can anybody tell me what the ICP and IPR should read with the truck at idle????? thanks guys. if this doesn't work i'm going to pull the chip out and see what that does. if that does it i will be putting in a call to Tony about getting EVERYTHING on my chip fixed for good

ok my ICP kpa @ idle IIRC was about 3000..... haha. i wasn't looking at the kpa as much as voltage for some reason, but the voltage was around 0.95 at idle then would get up in the 4.0-4.6 region at WOT. i will have to try to do it all again and look at the kpa more. ran a CCT and got codes for cyl 7 & 8 contribution/balance faults, which i assume could be from the truck not being all the way warmed up. the oil temp was 80*C which i think is around the 190* range in F.. the IAT was -40*C which i think comes out to around 70*F, but i know that it was NOT 70* outside today when i did this and dang sure not 70* under the hood... the IPR duty % was 12 at idle. so i'm going to go to ford tomorrow and get another CPS and see if that changes anything as well as check the ICP kpa..
