460 head differences

ok i've searched. I thought this would be an easy one to find.

What are the difference in the various years EFI heads?

I have a 91 that I was going to get the heads cleaned up and put them on the 94 but looks like the casting numbers are different.

Sooo..... I don't know now.

Registered and looking over there.

I sure wish there was a FAQ someplace with specs.

Your 91 should have E7TEs, 93 and newer have F3TEs. The F3s have 2.08 intake valves vs the E7s 1.98s, F3s have slightly different ports and combustion chambers with slightly higher compression. Either one will directly swap for the other, F3s should make a little more power. I have a set of lightly ported and milled F3s sitting on the workbench, waiting for me to swap them for the E7s my truck came with. I've gotta stop this procrastination thing, tomorrow...

88-92 = E7TE
93-97 = F3TE

LoL. Procrastination. I'm with ya.

I have oil in the water so I know a head job is coming. 249,000 miles and not a bit of smoke.

Thanks for the info.
