I have learned that. I have also come to beleave, any body that wants to learn any thing about working on cars or trucks doesn't need to go to school, they just need to buy an old one. Between the Beonco and my house, I wont be in a bar for a long time.
Amen brother! That's how I learned, along with many hours spent in my teenage years reading Hot Rod and Car Craft from cover to cover. Yes, they were around in the early 70s.
I have learned more since I bought the bronco, then I thought I could have learned by just doing it, and who nows how much money I have saved by doing it my self instead of paying some one to do it.
BTW, if anyone is nearby this weekend, there is a classic car rally on Saturday in Wauzeka, from 10:00 till 1:00, followed by a cruise through the countryside to other events going on in Crawford County. I'll be heading there with the Zepher. If I see anything interesting I'll get a photo.
Ordered new hubs today, should be here some time next week even though I wont be. My new (used) drive shaft should be ready tommorow, hopefully I can get it back together and on the road before I go to cali for a week.

Ain't that the truth, I'll bet I've saved thousands by repairing my own stuff over the years.
Hope to have time this weekend to finnish up the rear brakes on my 97 F250. Got the right side done a couple days ago. Everything was rusted stuck, parking brake, wheel cylinder, adjuster. Seems like I spend more time working on that truck than driving it. I've come to the conclusion that if you ever want to ruin a perfictly good truck, put a snow plow on it. You're out sloshing around on the roads when the maximim amount of salt is there.
The bronco is back on the road and seemns to be running better, after fixing the vaccume leak, and reconcecting some emishons stuff the po disconected.
now I know why i was smoking so bad, i had a broken intake pushrod so that equals a dead cylinder that wasnt getting any air, also the lifter popped out of its bore so there went my oil pressure. So yeah then i have to call dealership that worked on my injector cups because i found brass shavings inside the valve covers..........
