Who has them?Do you have the on board pump and which one?Do you have single or dual gauge setup?Do you like them? What will they hold for weight? Just trying to get the low down on these I am thinking of buying some and trying to make sure they will do what I want.
I sometimes don't have a option of where to put the heavy parts of loads on my trailer and that can lead to the rear end getting to close to the ground for my liking.
i have them on my truck. i have a custom set up though. i have a 10 gal tank in my tool box with a compressor but i custom made everything so i can use the tank for more than just the air bags. i also have the guages custom made into my tool box so that you can increase/decrease the pressure from the outside of the box. plus i have an air hose to fill up tiress and it runs my air horn too.
i have them had to buy them after buying to much camper (if there is such a thing). i don't have on board compresor or gauges. i also wanted to make sure they were going to do what i neede before buy the whole system. that being said i love them. i mounted the valves in the fram just above the air bag & behind the tire as your looking at it. my reason for that was i run my tires low around 50psi in the rear so i am right there airing them up when i put the camper on. i just reach in put about 70psi (with camper loaded) in each bag & it lifts right up to where i have full travel in my leaf springs so they can work in combination with the air bags.
I went with the Firestone Kit Part #: 2330. It allowed for installation with my under bed 5th wheel hitch brackets. The photo on the website is incorrect. These airbags actually sit inboard of the springs - so the mounting hardware does not get in the way of in-bed 5th wheel & gooseneck hitches.
With these and the Bilsteins the ride with the 5th wheel is much smoother. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Wish I would have did it sooner. They have been on for 3 years now. I went with the gauge & onboard compressor so I can adjust on the fly while driving. The compressor gauge is to the left of the brake controller - there is a small lever on the left side so you can add or release air pressure.
I've got the bags, but no onboard air. I figure I can air them up when I hook up to a trailer since I'll be checking the air in the trailer tires anyway. Like Rich, I wish I would have got them sooner.
I hear ya Chris. The nice thing about the onboard compressor is that I can let the air out after hauling the camper, so the ride isn't so stiff while staying at the campground. Then I don't have to find an air source to load it back up for the trip home.
I've got the exact same set up and its ****. I started out thinking I didn't need the onboard controls and gauge, after towing twice I ordered the onboard controls. Just do it like that the first time and be done.

That sounds like an overwhelming yes everyone who has them likes them.I think I would like the onboard air option. Now I just have to figure out 1 gauge or 2.I am assuming that with 2 gauges you can regulate each side individually. Is there a real need for this has anyone had any times when it would come in handy? Thanks for all the replies so far.Keep them coming. Makes this sound like a very worth while mod.
I have airbags also, love them. I have seen a gauge with a dual needle in it, that way you could see both sides. It also had where each side could fill independently. Forgot what brand it was though. I want on board air and the dual needle setup. Right now I have the air stems out the bottom of the license plate thru the holes.
If you're going to be hauling something heavy in the bed such as a slide in camper or an off-balanced load would be the only reason I could see wanting to keep each bag an a separate line.
