Auto dimming view mirror
My inside auto dimming rear view mirror needs to be replaced on my 2000 Excursion Limited. Anybody out there have a suitable replacement mirror or a source for the stock Ford part number

Unless you really want to replace it with a brand new one I would try: Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market Just search for "Mirror, rear view" then look for one listed as "auto dim". There were a couple in my area for $45.

I just replaced the one on my 2001 with a really cheap one from wally world until I can have the windshield replaced and get auto-dimming mirror ordered, found one for only $79 at online auto parts site.

I got one on ebay for around $25. I love the pick-n-pull places though. Never know what you really "need" until you see it. The mirror I got was not from and X or even a ford for that matter. I found the wire colors and functions with a little surfing and ended up splicing into the factory wires. Works like a charm although most would probably want to avoid splicing, it didn't bother me.
