expy has no diffucult turning over. just thats what wont turn on or nothing.
any help?
already checked fuses 2, 12, 18, 19 and 21. all r good.
They're talking about the big wire connectors attached to the fuse box under the dash. It's been a while so I could be wrong, but I believe you unscrew the 10mm bolt in the center of each connector and it will separate itself for you.
FYI - the GEM is attached to the back of the fuse box in case you weren't sure.

You are correct, there are two 10mm bolts directly behind the two studs you removed the nuts from at the bottom of the fuse block. These secure two connectors that send power to the fuse block. They're a little difficult to get to. These need to be unscrewed for quite some time to get the connectors to release (you'll see them working their way apart). Once you get these separated from the fuse block, you'll need to start working the assembly out (it's tight but it'll come out). On the left side of the assembly you'll see the connectors for the GEM. Once you have it pulled out far enough you'll need to unhook the top connector, then you can work it out the rest of the way to disconnect the other two. To release these connectors there's a tab in the center of each one on the fuse block side of the connectors that will need to be depressed which will release them. Once you have the whole assembly out there's 3 screws that secure the GEM to the fuse block, once those are removed, the GEM will unplug from the fuse block.
ohh hmm which of the 3 fuse blocks?
the one under the dash?
if so do i have to remove the bottom plastuc cover to get to it?
if so that is there an easier way to remove the emergency brake handle and hood handle?
sorry im slow.
do you guys happen to any pictures? would help alot.
It's the one under the dash, and yes you have to remove the lower part of the dash to access it. The hood and brake handles are held to the dash with 2 screws each the ones that are easy to see in the front then there are also ones underneath the handles that are difficult to see. Keep in mind that I was guessing at your problem given the info you gave me, as a possible cause, it may not necessarily be the problem. The GEM is not a cheap item to replace, the cheapest I've seen them is on ebay for around $275.00 at the dealership they're closer to $500.00. Prior to going to this much expense and trouble (because they are kind of a bugger to remove) you might make certain that it's the GEM for sure.
so i found it wat it was..... LOL happened to be a fuse under the hood LOL
well i saved me 500 and before i left to mexico with the family installed some H.I.D.s there very nice, will post some pix somewhere in this forum.
