Has anybody ever painted the black eyebrows around the headlights which look to have been sprayed from the factory? In order to duplicate I wish I knew what the mask looked like or it they used one or what to achieve the correct look.

Yeah, I painted my '65 similarly.
I did also painted black along the inside edge about 1/2 - 1" between the headlight doors and the grille bars. It gives the effect that the center portion of the grille is floating.
How I did it was I removed the headlight doors, then just cleaned it with a gas-soaked rag, scuffed it a bit with some steel wool, then primed it and the next day painted it black with a small brush. It looks good to me! (If I could post a pic I would, but I can't sorry....maybe Santa will bring me a camera this Winter.)
