Are you sure it is oil?

Might be disintegrating/composting dead tree matter that has got into the cowling and into the air box.

it would be hard to have a leak in the evaporator and get any sugnificant amount of oil out without leaking out all the refrigerant gas. i would check the gas pressure, or look at the compressor clutch and if it is running almost constant on a hot day, i would forget about it untill something shows up to prove otherwise.

It could also be coolant from a leaking heater core. Do you have a blacklight (UV light) that you can check to see if it glows? If it doesn't glow, it's not the refrig oil. The green appearance in refrig oil is from the UV dye.
