Not going to work. He has no less than 5 stickys on his side as does Cale. Those stickys are people who called and are asking tech questions. Best thing to do is call 870-422-3673 and hold. Been there and watched him work all day long. He takes a break from work and uses it to answer questions.
Exactly what I've seen twice. I quite frankly don't know how he keeps it all straight.....but he does. Always working and always answering tech calls. I enjoyed both of my visits. P.S. The Cove has the best sausage I've ever tasted!
Good luck, you can talk with his secratary, but i called to talk with Brian 5 times, she said i will get him to call you back that was three weeks ago, so i just bought the same TC from Jack at PI. I won't give them any business of mine. I even emailed the man no return. If Thats the way you run a business, no thanks!
Sorry to hear about the trouble you had. As said below, phone is really the only best way to get with him.
BTW- If you were calling to buy a triple disk torque converter for a stock trans from Brian, he would have talked you out of it. Doesn't recommend that heavy duty of a T/C because it's too strong for the internals of the trans. He would have talked you into a stock t/c that costs WAY less money instead.

Completely agree. Occassionally you can catch him first thing before he gets to responding to all those stickys or workin on a trans. Only 5 stickys is an understatement. Cale's office door usually is so full up you can't see out of it! When I need to talk to either of them, I'll call and leave a message with Tina. Then usually give it 3 or 4 days and call back. Sometimes it takes a week or 2 to finally get them but it's no big deal because I know how busy they are!!

I talked to him about the VB and we talked for a bit. I asked what else I could do and he said that the cooler could be improved. Finally, I asked him about the TC. All he said was "Well, you could do that." and was not enthusiastic about a product he carried. I had to ask him why he thought I shouldn't buy his TC.
I was talking about the area in front of where my truck was being worked on. His office was a totally different story.
I have had more then a great experience with him, his warrenty is great. it breaks withing 2 years he pays to ship too and from him, breaks after 2 years you just have to pay to ship it too him..this last for...a LIFETIME!
Being a one man operation like that is THE reason guys like Brian and John Wood can make such great transmissions. They try to strike the best balance possible between sales, tech questions/problems, and building the darn thing.
There's no way to please EVERYONE who calls the number.
I have John Woods cell number (as does every single one of his paying customers) yet I will rarely call it because I don't wanna bother the guy. I usually call his shop line and leave a message if he doesn't answer.
Just a couple weeks ago, I called JW's shop line and the announcement on his answering machine said that day (Thursday) he would be working on a special project with a customer, to leave a message, and he'd return the call after 5:30 that night.
I talked with Brian about the warranty too before I bought mine.
He said "if you can break it, I'll fix it".
I told him that I suspected a leak somewhere and I would have to find it. The only way I knew of was to do a torque stand to get the turbo to spool up. He was like "So?". I told him that the trans would have to be engaged and he said "I know". I reminded him that it was under warranty. He basically said that I wouldn't hurt it for what I was doing and if I did, well, call him.
