I just installed a new Holly 0-4412s carburator on a 302 in my 1977 F100. It appears to be flooding itself on start up. I am greatfull for any help offered.
we use 4412's on our stock cars, if your carb is new this might not be the problem. you have a center hung float bowl. on the front you will see an adjustment for the float. it looks like a sloted screw and a nut. the screw is the adjustment and the nut is the lock. this operates a needle and seat. back off the lock and remove the needle and seat ( the screw) if the needle is sticking in the seat, fuel will continue to fill the bowl and will cause flooding. the needle should move freely up and down. it's a cheap part to replace if this is the problem. when you reassemble the bowl adjust until the float is parralell with the bottom of the bowl. good luck
how do ford 2150 carb and holly 4412 compair. Ive been thinking i should conver my chev 305 to a 2150 since the rotchesters works like crap. never had any problems with ford carbs.
has any one out there ever put a motorcraft 2150 carb on a chev. I know the holly will fit with the right adapters {mounting and kick down} but I allready own a few good motorcraft carbs. Any one ever gave this a try.
