have a 99 f150 that i pulled instrument cluster out of and replaced with a used one that had a nu-image flame overlay on it. took it to ford mechanic and installed it. reprogrammed the pcm and the pats system so truck starts. the problem is the gauges all max out when key is turned on and stay maxed out when running. mph gauge shows 20 when sitting and the tach shows 2000 at idle all other gauges max out. why? i have since removed this cluster and reinstalled original cluster and it works fine. tried swapping the boards in the cluster with no change.
