painting options?
Hey everyone just got a set of summitt racing block huger headers and i got them in raw steel due to funds are low and wanted to paint them with something that will look good and wont peel and look bad after i was done. My question is what would be great to use?

VHT was made for headers. never had problems. look it up on internet for specs. i haven't used it in 40 years, maybe it changed. 650 degrees

Powder coating melts at 400 deg's so i dont think that would last very long. The VHT spray paint is good up to 1200 deg's.

Ok i got the VHT paint and painted the headers and according to the company info that i found i should heat the headers to get the paint to cure correctly or to stick. My question is if i cant find an oven to put the headers in to heat correctly could i just wait till i get the motor up and running or is this a timed application?
