In the last two years it has gone through 2 slave cylinders. It is blowing slave cylinder seals. Shifts fine, feels normal, then suddenly pedal goes to the floor and fluid leaking all over. Slave cylinder seals blown out. Local garage has replace it twice in the last two years and it just went out again. Why is it doing this? Any ideas?
I appreciate any help you all can give.
replace your clutch master cylinder. Bleed and rock on man. I learned the hard way too, when you replace one replace the other at the same time even if there is nothing wrong with it. That advice came from a dealer mechanic with 18 years at ford and it worked for me. Ford hydraulic clutch systems has been a problem since the day the engineers conceived the concept. They do sell a cable conversion kit if you want to ditch the hydraulic system.
