Alright fellas how I get off that black coating in my rear fender wells? Whomever did mine before I before I bought it didnt prep well so it ran and chipped off.It literally looks like tar and it just has big thick runs in it. I have scrapped what I could off but there is still a bunch under there. I know its a minor detail but its drivin me friggin nuts every time I walk out to my truck.
Trya little heat, should help loosen it up. Careful with any open flame though, I'm sure its quite flammable if you arent careful. Couple buddies have used heat guns to scrape up the black stick on tar strip sound deadening in cars under carpet before with a lot of success. I'd imagine it would be similar for the undercoating.
