Hey guys, does anybody know anything about off-road lighting? What brands of lights are any good, theres lots on ebay for great prices but what about quality?
And what about watts? doesn't anybody go by candle power anymore? I'm looking for the brightest bang for my buck. And one more thing how is everybody mounting these on their trucks? Thanks for any and all advise!
If you are looking for true off road lights I would consider HID. They are much brighter and no filaments to break while boonie crashing. Look on eBay for ones that have colored rims and say HID around the like. They are usually about $80 each and are actually very good quality.

Thanks Clay but what about ballasts and hooking them up? It isn't as straight forward as "regular" lights is it? Maybe I'm misinformed.
I went with PIAA 520's ATF model i believe. I put four of them on a front guard from defiant products. Got them off ebay. I painted the lights and the guard to match the white truck.

Is isn't hard at all. Just plug and play. Here are a set I found real quick, I am sure if you look you can find them cheaper. We used these on the rhinos at the dunes and never had any issues.
Clay what about the lights you (and Nick and I don't even remember who else) put on Tom's (mndiesel) new front bumper. I'm sure they aren't cheap but I've never seen a nicer, brighter set of lights.
