I have a 2001 F350 powerstroke with the backup sensors. Started last week, when I start the truck the sensor switch shows "OFF". When I put it in reverse the switch stays "OFF" and can not be switched to "ON". When I have the truck in drive the switch is "OFF" but can be switched to "ON". I have checked all the connections under the bumper and went to the dealer to ask questions, their response is "schedule an appt and we will see what we can find out." Any thoughts???
Thanks
I have searched this forum and found out allot of information on this topic. You probably have a bad sensor. I have located several places that sell them for $45.00 on Ebay.
I need some of the same help. I have a 2004 F350 crew cab. My disable light stays on all the time whether in drive and reverse. I have checked all the sensors by placing them in my sons truck and they all worked on his. I pulled the passenger kick place off and did not located the module. Does any one know where it is located in my truck? What is the easiest access to the rear of the disable switch on my truck. The face place seems very flimsily and I do not want to break it. Thanks in advance for any help provided.
