Dash removal and Keyless entry

I have a couple of questions for all of you. I just purchased a white faced gauge kit and it did not come with instructions. Does anyone know how to take apart the dash to get to the gauges and also how to take the gauge needles off. Also I was wondering if all the 97 Eddie Bauer Expy's came with remote keyless entry as a standard option? Any info would be well appreciated. Thanks a lot.

The dash is very simple to take apart. there are 3 screws above the gages. pull the cover just behind the steering column out and u will fins more screws.(trying to do this from memory) once those two pieces are off u can basically unscrew the entire gauge assm. and it will pull out. Do not pull on it too hard because u will have to slide the shift indicator down and out before removing the gauges. if you have time go to a Barnes and Nobles and go thru the Chilton's book and it show's you exactly how to do it. Browse thru it before thinking about buying it. As for taking the gauges apart, that I have never done. I've heard horror stories about people not being able to align the gauges properly. GOOD LUCK!!
