So ive been hearing some talking about a so called smoke switch, and i found that if i have a question about ford that i cant seem to find, theres bound to be a knowledgable group of people here.
Ive read up on a switch that a person can put in-line with their MAP sensor, when the switch is flipped it sends a full signal the the computer telling it the truck is at full boost, in turn dumping fuel into the motor. My questions is how could this work if the computer begins to de-fuel around 22 lbs of boost? ive heard of more people doing this with Dodges but ive read a couple threads about it on a Ford.
Any and all knowledge would be helpfull, Thanks!!!
Strikes me as a stupid thing to do, but to each his own. OP has a 7.3, so suggest you drop down to that forum so others can tell you how stupid it may be. Or not.
