Anyone here have a fish tank? I have two myself, a 20 gallon and a 55 gallon. In the 55 gallon I have three Severums that I have had for about 4.5 years. In the 20 gallon just some of the basic Tetras.
I have a 65G saltwater reef tank.
Lots of corals, little creatures, etc....( A friend of mine used to own a saltwater aquarium store, and I also traded coral frags so I got alot of my stuff really cheap.
My 2 clownfish just hatched a bunch of eggs today, and I must say it made me feel pretty proud!

I have a 30 gallon freshwater tank with some goldfish in it. Someday I would love to have Saltwater, but I doubt I would be able to have the funds to set one up right now. An ex-girlfriends uncle had the neatest saltwater tank I have ever seen in a house. He had a large tank that divided his kitchen from his livingroom.. all custom built into the house. He is a lawyer which explains how he could afford such things. Nevertheless, I drooled..
I have 10 gallon tank which I use for minnows. Instead releasing or giving away excess at the end of the day, I bring them home. Nice to have them on hand when I decide to go fishing. Saves a few bucks too!
I've had freshwater tanks for years now. Mostly w/cichlids. I actually just gave my younger brother my whole set up(55 gal.tank, stand, canopy, gravel...the whole nine yards) I just bought a truvue with wet/dry filter that is built into the tank. I also bought the canopy and stand and custom light set up. This is going to be a reef set up. I can't wait to get it all going.
I have a 55 gallon setup just like the Amazon River basin. a pair of Angelfish, a school of 8 neon tetras and 8 black neon tetras, 2 plecostimus, a corydoras catfish, and my 4 non-South American fish, a black shark and 3 Siamese flying foxes (SE Asia). The whole thing is densely planted with a variety of greenery, featuring Amazon Sword plants. I'm running twin Penguin 330's and a single Acura 100- heater, with 4 overhead flourescent tubes to keep the plants healthy. I'd recommend the Penguin 330's to anyone who needs a better filter, I got mine from mail order for $24 a piece, they flow 330 gph, and have dual bio-wheels, dual filter cartriges, and two baskets to place your own media in.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-Nov-02 AT 06:36 PM (EST)]Another of my favorite topics! I used to manage a tropical fish store for about 5 years...and my paycheck proved it....I got kind of lazy on upkeep of salt and have perfected the lazymans(womans) simple saltwater maintenance and upkeep!
I had tanks EVERYWHERE! Now, I'm down to just my 55 Octagon with a pair of ALbino Oscars I call Mr & Mrs Asswhipe....like the SNL skit. A small fresh ccommunity and a 12 gallon eclipse mini reef and a pond. Cars took over so I had to scale down. I sold a 125G Salt to finance a mustang project! LOL! However...They are slowly taking over the house again, and I am just about to evict my Pair pf Oscars in favor of a salt community tank..But I've been threatening them like that for a year now!
I notice that great minds think alike...tanks, cars, trucks....what next?

I would love to have a saltwater tank, but I am a poor college kid. As nice and relaxing as it is to watch the fish, it sure takes a lot of effort to keep up the tanks!
