Do you guys have your compressors mounted directly to the concrete or do you have insulator pads under them and what is the advantage to doing it one way or the other? I mounted mine directly to the concrete for now so I can use it this weekend but if insulator pads are recommended I might install them.

You have to post up some pict's of the new Beast.
Get some hockey pucks between the lag bolts. It is pretty heavy will not walk much. I am still getting the layout right so mine just sits on a 1" pc. of 2x2 marine plywood.

lmao It might be firefox messing up or the clowns in IT here at work are messing with my pc once more. Being a fellow Admin I get messed with for time to time. It still dumps me in Amazon for some odd reason. However I was able to follow the address path and find the wav file you were linking. Caddy shack what a classic.

Sorry guys, I'm back! I haven't checked email or anything in a while, I've been too busy with my truck. Compressor is fricken awesome! I've used air tools and done some sandblasting and the thing keeps up like a champ. I'll try to get some pictures up in a couple days. I've never posted pictures on here so it may take me a while to figure out. Only problem I had was with my air lines. I used 1 inch galvanized line and when I ran it the temp was like 15 degrees, and I think my pipe thread sealant was a little too cold. I have some joints that are leaking. I was not happy about that but will fix it when the weather warms up a bit. I also want to put some "isolator pads" under the legs. There's not alot of vibration but there is a little, and I don't like the idea of my air line vibrating the way it does. The instructions suggest using a rubber hose between the compressor and hard line to absorb the vibration, which seems like a good idea. Thanks for the interest guys

You defiantly have to use a 1" rubber isolator hose off the compressor to the pipe work. It will shake everything loose. = not good.

just start a photobucket account & you can post picts out of that right into your post via the little yellow box. just copy & paste.

Glad to see ya got her runnin, I figured you were out blasting everything. Keeps up pretty good too. what psi do you have it set at? Dial it down to around 145 shut off. makes less heat & uses less electricity. You do not need 175 psi IMHO...

Amazon Hijacks it like right away! Its kind of funny honest.

Rubber blocks under the feet will help, Galvanized Air lines are not good... it flakes off in clogs stuff up. I agree you NEED something flexible between the compressor and your hard shop lines. Rubber hose is usable, I don't like to use hose there. I just worry about it popping after time or the hose clamps cumming loose over time. Happens to me from time to time I'll have a hose end pop out at a air tool or coupling .. could be me? I used a 1 1/4 hydraulic hose on mine. I wanted to use 2" but the fitting were like $34 each + hose. That and the fact that 1 1/4 was the biggest we had at work OR you might care to take a look at Flexible Metal Hose - TP Tools & Equipment

Ohio ford farm; if you don't use galvanized lines, what do you use? Right now the shut off is whatever it was from the factory. I wanted to use it a while before tinkering with it. If it would ever fricken warm up around here I can do the rubber pads and fix my air lines. Gotta love wisconsin winters!
