What springs do I have?

So I checked the tag and they're V code up front, but I see that there are 3 leaves on each side in the front. The lowest leaf is sort of curved more, like the letter W, but only slightly. My truck sits pretty level, so was this some sort of leveling kit installed by the previous owner?
Thanks

Not sure if the 250/350 have the same setup but I know mine is stock and it only has two springs up front. It is a 250 4x4 with the tow package.

Sounds like someone did the "add a leaf" thing to your truck. It is a good inexpensive way to raise the ride height, but you will pay a little in ride. If you are happy with your ride, then I would just check the ubolts to make sure they are tight and carry on. If I remember right, the V code springs are 5600# springs. The stiffest springs you can get from Ford are the X springs which are 6000#. I went from U codes to X codes and raised the front of my truck 2 1/4" and am very happy with them.

I thought add a leaf was a stack of short little leaves?

Jack,

The small stack style is another version. I too, have the same set up you do with three full leaf springs. When I purchased the truck a couple years ago, I thought it was stock until someone here pointed out two leaves are the norm. My truck sits level. I think it rides like any other 3/4 ton 4x4.
