Hubcap Install

I mocked up the installation of an old ford hubcap on my spare wheel tonight using metal tabs scewed through the wheel. I laid it out on center so it won't wobble going down the road...fits tight--will road test soon...

metal tabs

...these are crude, made from Simpson Strong Ties I had in the garage, but they worked. Screwed them in and then bent them to the proper diameter to hold the hubcap on tight...won't be using drywall screws for finished product, will probably use framer or TEK screw...

Very good idea, this could solve the problem of finding wheels for many of the guys trying to keep stock. Fairly simple, which I like also.
