I hope you find out! My 06, 6.0l turbo Lariat last month did about the same. Temp was 40 been snowing/raining came off the freeway slowed to 40mph and it started revering up without throttling and idling ruff at the stop light I noticed I had no turbo pressure. Ran this way for about 10 minutes. Stopped at a friend’s house for couple of hours. Went out started up just fine and has not did this since?

You should fix it before the catalytic convertor fails.
