Fan won't work

Fan won't work
I have a 2001 Ford Escape that I have given to my son to take to school the blower fan quit working on the way there does anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong. I hope someone can help me with this as I don't have a clue or a mechanic

Blower motor, do you mean the circulating fan in the cabin or the cooling fan on the engine?
