2000 w/ 165K, engine thru code 0171 so I cleaned MAF with electrical cleaner and replaced the upper rubber elbow (had two 1" holes) from pcv to throttle body. Now engine is stalling when I put it into drive (9 times so far) this never happened before. Anybody have any ideas I fixed one problem but seemingly crated a bigger one, thanks Sean
Any possibility of an IAC issue, just happened that the vacuum leaks allowed it to continue to run? That is to say, does it stall with your foot on the gas? Perhaps it is also unrelated, and just coincidental, and the torque converter stuck in lock-up? Krewat, weigh in on this. I know some other vehicles also had lock-up problems, but they also stalled when coming to a stop...
I would say, try cleaning/replacing the IAC after a reasonable time to allow it to re-learn the idle (replacement always yielded better results for me, but cleaning may help pinpoint, at least). If not, then you will have eliminated that problem, though I hate to suggest throwing parts at one, if you cannot narrow it down to that one part...
