Just a little sharing with you guys. I ordered my X-3 from Innovative this morning after discussing with them what my wishes were. I had my diesel tech pull out the codes for me last week so it will show up already tuned to my rig
Then when it gets here I will get started..... EGR (by by), new oil cooler, CCV (by by), STC fitting, fuel pump, O-rings on top end, and probably start off with new filters all the way around and oil change......
Then when the kitty builds back up I will go for the rest ( gauges, studs, exhaust) and sooo on.
I just wanted to share my excitement with fellows that would understand the grin I have on my face right now!
Yeah buddy - u will be smilin' !!!!!!!!!!!!!
all the future things are nice-to-haves,
but exhaust should be first if you are going to tune it without doing anything else !!!
REALLY encourage you to do at least a good flow thru muffler FIRST !
tuned EGT's will stun you ....
A Walker BTM (Big Truck Muffler) from Napa or online is $50 or so and ez to install....
and has kept my ex cool since birth with just enough rumble to be cool.....
After speaking with I.D. I chose 3 tunes. The exact names are slipping me right now...... It was something like (economy), (tow) and (street)?
He said the tow would include a Jake-brake option that was popular and put around 600tq to the ground.
I did not want to get nuts and do anything to extreem yet because of the lack of head studs and exhaust. I agree totaly with needing to do these ASAP I just got to get the cash together to make it happen.... The wifes birth day is next month..... HMMM.... maybe she needs an exhaust system
jdad- That is a cool vid you linked is that you? Sounded sweet!

Buy her an exhaust, she wont know what it is so she will happily give it to you? Its the thought that counts?
What tunes are you guys running? Do any of you use the ones I got? What do you think of them?
I am guessing untill I get a few more things done I will be keeping it on economy. Maybe see what the tow is all about once or twice

i use the Xstreet all the time now since i ordered it from them. eric also made me a custom Xstreet with less power so it's probably more of a aggressive street/regular street tune because. most of us on here agree that you get the best MPG's with the stronger tunes as long as you drive responsibly. these tune will really wake up your truck!
First install ill be the mx hp one and you are going to grin ear to ear
I guess we are not that different! I hope i can keep my foot out of it untill I can get the studs and exhaust done
Well see..... I may be back with the sad look on my face!
I have this funny warm feeling in my hip pocket...... I think my credit card is calling my name for an exhaust
I have been looking at the MBPR turbo back installers series. THEN I will put the rest on hold for a bit
I build Harley's in the shop over the winter and always tell my self there is no hurry.... but it seems like i always race to get them done.
