Automatic tranny swap

I have a '92 f-250 with a 3 speed auto, I would like to swap in an e40d if possible. Is there any issues with this swap? i.e. computer issues, and wiring harness issues?

You will need a new wiring harness and a new computer. What you have in the truck now won't operate an E4OD.

What engine? E4OD has integral bell, so be sure to get the right one.

Controller, expensive but cheaper than a no-go at the end of the swap:

The engine size is 5.8

Just wondering if you have used this controller? I finally have my tranny swap done and purchased one of these controllers and am having trouble getting the tranny to shift automatically. tranny shifts manually, but no third gear have'nt even tried od yet.

Time to call the supplier of the controller and recheck the installation. Also, was this a known good trans?

BTW I do not have a controller nor have I used one.
