FAST IDLE, WON'T START WHEN WARM
I just bought a 1988 F250 4x4 with a 460 EFI. It starts fine the first time, but if I turn it off to get something and try to start it back up it just cranks with absolutely no attempt to fire, and when I get out I can smell a strong gas smell. It cranks over good, the battery cables seem fine and it has a new battery. It supposedly has new plugs, wires, and distributer cap. It also idles high, I've been told that it should but I'm not sure. Please help any ideas are welcome and appreciated.

Many of the EFI's use an extra injector to richen the mixture at cold starts, Yours might be sticking open. Try running the engine till warm, then pull a plug and read it for gas fouling.
