IIRC... the tranny cooler for an '05 is the 26-row design, which is slightly smaller than the 31-row design from the earlier models.
Not saying it's bad by any means... just clarifying the difference in case it is important to anyone loooking at the tranny cooler. Either way... either 6.0L tranny cooler is SO much better than the stock 7.3 cooler that you'd be a winner either way.

Was the 31-row from the '03-'04 6.0 only? That seems odd that they would reduce the size of the cooler (not that they weren't out to lunch when they engineered ours).
Here's what I know for sure. The '03's and '04's were 31-row, and the '06's and '07's were redcued to the 26-row design. Not certain if that changed happened at the end of the '04, mid-'05, or end of '05 models.
I also have not been able to secure a heat transfer ratings between the two versions, but either way, even the 26-row units are bigger than the V-10's, so they will provide tremendous cooling capacity.
The 26-row is worth it. I put it in mine and it dropped the temps an easy 50 degrees. I have to *REALLY* be hammering it in 100 degree ambient temps to get it to 180, and it cools back down to ~150-160 after. I would jump on either one...
