2001 F150, 5.4L 2WD. ABS light on, code C1145 present. I replaced the indicated (RF) wheel speed sensor, but the light is still on and I cannot clear the code, and the ABS is still inoperative. What else do I need to check?
it appears you have the right code for the right front ABS. When you turn on the key, the ABS light should come on, then go off. That means all the wires are connected and the ABS sensor has a complete circuilt. You put in gear and start moving. Once you get to about 10 mph the computer checks and compares the wheel speeds. If the light comes on now, when running over 10 MPH, then the sensor is not reading the gear teeth as they pass.... If the light is on all the time, you dont have good connections. Look in the wire plug behind the head light where the sensor wire plugs into the harness. Are the pins inside the plug mashed and not going into the plug holes?
