Test Drive

Yes I know that this is truck related but I think it will reach in to other areas that this forum covers.

I have a truck for sale.
Do I;
1) Put a sign in the window with contact info?
2) List it in the classifieds?
3) Use E-bay?
4) Post it in Craigslist?

Now somebody shows an interest.
Do I;
A) Drive over so they can take a look?
B) Meet them at their workplace?
C) Have them come over to my place?

Now they want to test drive the truck.
Do I;
a) Hop in the truck and ride along.
b) Get their drivers license.
c) Hand them the keys and wave goodbye?

This fool picked 3,C and c; http://www.ketv.com/news/20466607/detail.html

A fool and his truck are soon parted....

What a jackass. He didn't deserve that truck anyway.

What a knuclehead. I think if you want to take my rig for a spin, I'll have to have some worthy collateral.

I do that when I sell a vehicle give them the keys and let them go.
The dealers here in town do it too!

But really where you going to go?

Good point when you have 10-12 miles of paved roads.

That's what happened when I bought my truck, drove past and said "Hmm that's a nice truck" walked up to the door and asked for a test drive, then put in an offer when I got back. I'm sure people do that all the time, but I bet the number of thefts from this way of doing it is going up very quickly.
