transfer case
my 91 2 wd super duty has a 4wd ZF5. I need to remove the transfer case. A local mechanic said i had a fried bearing and it was welded on the shaft. With him beating on the transfer case, I guess all the spedo parts fell to the bottom of the transfer case, so now the truck runs smooth. I know I have to repair it, so my question is: Is there a lock ring or something inside the transfer case holding it on. It will not slide off the shaft.
