I have a 99 F350 and the AC is acting up. When I start the truck, it works perfectly, nice and cold. When the compressor disengages (cycles off), it will not come back on.
I can get out and physically push on the front of the compressor and it will engage but it will not engage on its own after it cycles off.
Anybody have any ideas or tests that I can run to try and figure out? My uncle thinks I need a new clutch but I don't know anything about AC. Can I change the clutch without evacuating and refilling the system?
