Clutch PARTS Problem
I have a:
1984 Ford F150, 302 V8, 4X4, STICK
There is a shaft that fits between the Chassis of the truck ... and the transmission. The rod from the clutch pedal assembly attaches to one side ... the rod going to the throw out fork goes on the other.
My Chilton Manual calls this shaft ... the clutch "Bar"
An on-line parts store call this the "Clutch Release Equalizer Shaft"
1. Which is correct?
Inside this Bar/shaft are a couple of nylon devices.:
One of them is a ball with a 1/2" (+/-) hole through the center ... apparently this part is called the "Clutch Release Equalizer Shaft Bushing" and has a part number of C1AA-7543-A. I got TWO of these from the parts store.
The other is a nylon "cup" that fits over a steel ball ...
2. What is this cup called ... what is its part number and where might I find it?
3. Is there an online FORD parts catalog somewhere on line ... with good diagrams/drawings and FORD part numbers and FORD nomenclature ... that I can use as a reference?

This diagram calls the "bar" ... a Release Bar ...
and indicates that the bushings in question are the same ... (#5 Release Bar Bushing)
Not on MY truck ... as I described above ... both bushing are different ...One of them is a ball with a 1/2" (+/-) hole through the center ... the other is a nylon "cup" that fits over a steel ball.
The "cup and ball" side is mounted on the chassis.
BTW ... There is another strange piece of the puzzle: My F 150 has a 10" clutch.
The parts stores tell me MOST F 150's have an 11" clutch.
weirder, and weirder.
