Starting problems
Mine makes a little noise sometimes when it is on.
And the battery cable problem can be dirty external connections which can be cleaned or it may be internal connections.
Rather common for the passenger side positive battery clamp to corrode between the clamp and the wire conductor.
The only indication is the clamp gets hot when you crank the engine.
After a while the insulation of the battery cable starts to look burnt and gets very brittle from the constant heat when trying to start the engine.
When he was talking about the manifold, he was talking about the rotary head where the fuel is distributed to the different cylinders and the injection lines hook to the IP.
Like all things, they do wear out.
Part of the problem with getting one rebuilt locally is costs like that get passed on to the end user, you.
www.mwfi.com may be a better place to look for a new IP.
I only remember one person having an issue with one of their pumps, and as I remember they did a next day shipment to get a new pump out to him at no charge.
