Mickey Thompson MTZ?

i saw these tires being put on a truck at the offroad shop in the size i want (35 x12.50 x 15) and i like the looks of them...my delema, before these i was stuck on the TSL radials, now the guy who owns the offroad shop (good guy btw) says he would take the MTZs over the TSLs 100x over... i did some searching and i am liking them more and more but i was wonering if anyone on here runs or has run them, and your opinions please....plus the MTZs would save me roughly $500 for the set over the TSL radial meaning i could get them at least 2 weeks sooner!

If you plan on mostly road, sand, or light rock use the MTZ are ok. If you want to do any off road use or mud work do yourself a favor and go with the TSL or Irok.

problem is i plan on alot of about everything...i need the better all round tire...rock musd snow ice rain highway gravel i know boggers suck for about everything other than rocks and mud and a bogger for me would be worse than useless...i need good tire wear too which makes the MTZ look better and ive heard alot of good about them from the guys who use them? i personally dont like the baja claw thats mall crawler, or BFG A/Ts...this truck is NOT in any way shape or form a mall crawler

i just want more opinions from guys who use them, at least with M/T i know all my tires will be the same size...and round

DAMN i was kinda sorta hoping someone on here likes them...or used them?...well i want the TSLs but the MTZ are cheaper by $500 so i dont know now toss a coin haha

If you are looking for a tire that handles pretty good on the street and does enough to keep you from getting stuck get the MTZ. If you want something that you know will do anything you want it to, get the TSL. Both are great tires but completely different. The MTZ is more of a new age mud tire, while the TSL a classic. Personally I think the TSL will look and perform better.

I put those mtz on my F-350 and they work in the mud that I get myself into. I don't do any serious mudding or rock crawling but when i'm working we get into a lot of thick clay on the right of way and they wear pretty good just gotta rotate them every other oil change.

yeah...i think im gonna go with the MTZ...FOR NOW...once they wear out im getting TSLs i just cant afford the TSLs now that im going back to school in a week, and i need better and bigger tires for hunting season and im damn sure those MTZs will be MUCH better than my crappy pro-comp m/ts

I agree that they will be better than the procomps.. buuuut...

The TSL is just soooo much better man!

yeah i agree there man but the MTZ are more affordable and everyone i know personally says they like the MTZ...how do the TSLs handle snow/slush, gravel, highway, all this stuff like i said this truck will see a lot of miles so i need a tire that wears good (from what i hear the TSLs arent bad) but it needs to be an all around tire and as far as i knew interco was a mud tire company

Snow/slush pretty damn good. Gravel, well most tires handle the same there IMO..
Highway they arn't too bad. Not that noisey on the road and a fair tire life.

For highway the MTZ is probably better.. but the TSL is better for everything else.

yeah ill run the MTZ for now and get the TSLs when they die or i move closer to work whichever comes first haha...i have a 75km commute daily 5x a week so i get 1500km per month AT LEAST and 6 months of icy roads and 100 km/h wind almost guarantees SOME ditch time during the season...mind you a didnt get any of that last year with my chitty pro comps, but i did enough sideways travel at highway speeds to keep a few people out of my truck for a while
