Hi;
The bottom inside of my doors are showing quite a bit of rust while the outsides still look good. 2000 B2500. I do not want to get into complicated body work or painting but I would like to extend the life of the bottom of the doors. I would like to keep it a couple more years.
I was thinking of using Rustoleum Rust Reformer and then some oil based Rustoleum over that. Nothing fancy just functional.
Anyone use this product or have any suggestions.
Don't know about the Rustoleum product as I've never used it, but Loctite has had their "Extend" rust reformer/converter product out for over a decade & it has worked well for me.
Surface prep to remove loose scale, dirt, mud, grease is essential for good results. Apply & let dry according to directions, then over coat with a quality product & it should hold up well, as it has for me on my 88 Bass Tracker boat trailers paint, scratches, stone nicks & dings.
