I always liked 'King Creole' and 'Heartbreak Hotel'

I couldn't llisten to him for a long time after his death. Too much hype, and they saturated the place with his stuff. I liked the guy, and I actually saw his original Ed Sulllivan appearance, but they should have let it go.

Thankfully, I am finally able to appreciate his music again.

Just a little historical note. In the late 50's the Enquirer and the like used to feature Elvis bits in their coulumns. One of the favorites was that the cops would bust him for removing the bra from some starlet while they were parked in the boonies. (shocking). A different era.

It was (and remains) so sad to see someone who had it all self-destruct.
It is a shame that later generations of talented folks (MJ for ex) haven't learned the lesson Elvis taught.
