Clay would like to get a head start for the next RRE. Dates will be the first and most important part as we want even more to attend the next. Location will be next, but the campgound we stayed at this time was more that great. The earlier in the year, the cooler the temps, but the kids are in school. I think most schools are out by mid June and the temps should be a little cooler. Keep in mind that we set record highs while we were there. I will include several options in the poll and hopefully Clay will get an idea of what time would work best to include as many of us as possible.
I skipped the week of the 4th of July as I'm sure other plans are made and the campgroud will be hard to book. I think it may be possible to secure the whole campgound, with the exceptions of the resident campers, for the event.
The last week of June may interfer with some 4th plans.
I voted earlier then June preferable next weekend August 22 LOL.
We had a great june this year really good temps. It just amazes me that these school systems let these kids out so late when ours let out in May. My vote is mainly for the 25-27th and that we try to secure the camp ground for our selves if we choose to stay at the Newport KOA which by location off the interstate, closeness to the drag strip and walmart make it great but if we could get Bristol now thats a different story.
I like the place we were at this year, that was a nice KOA and the dragstrip was so close. There's also a bunch to do in the area.
Don't really care when, the end of June works for me cause the temps shouldn't be quite so hot. But I'd go whenever.
Anything before around June 10th and you run the risk of our northern brothers being in school. I like the 3rd weekend of June, but it don't matter to me. The 4th weekend in July is the only one I can't make.
For the ones that are open, please pick a "best for you" to help with the choice. It would be nice to move away from the Carlisle event as some want to attend both.
