i wish i could tell you a lot of great things, but i never had a good experience with bully dog. i used thier 6 pos chips, and the power pup tuner. some tunes on the chip didnt even work...i sent it back, then the dealer asked me to try another one, so i did, and didnt like it either. i may do better on your truck, with your application, but i experienced really high EGTS, and lower boost, coupled with less power than Edge EZ, Edge evolution, or superchip. finally i sold all that stuff and bought a custom burned tony wildman, and i love it!

Like 2 stroke said, there are several on this site that make custom chips for your truck that can personalize it to your needs/wants. Tony Wildman is one. There also is Power Hungary Performance and DP Tuner. Any one of them will give you excellent customer service along with a product you can be proud of. If you can return your BD and get a refund, I would. You won't be sorry.

I have the bullydog 6 position chip in my truck right now, and personally I hate it. I wasnt very impressed with it since day one. I have a Tony Wildman chip Im waiting on a reburn and then my bullydog is going in the trash!

Definately return it and go with DP, PHP or TW chip. My PHP at the 35 hp setting has way more pull than my superchips did on high performance.

Long shot here I know it's been a few years since this thread started but is there still anybody doing custom tunes for these trucks? I bought my 97 f250 7.3 a year ago and just started driving it. Just found that it has a bully dog 6 position chip in it. Seems That half that tunes don't do anything and sometimes high idle work work. Just want something better lol

Thumbs up

Gearhead reflashes them, they did mine...I am sure many others can reflash it too. Most everyone uses a Hydra which is a FAR superior platform, I am cheap so I scored a used TS6 and had it flashed with custom stuff.
