Okay man, thanks.I appreciate it.I'm gonna have to get a new quick release connector for it though, cause the red/yellow hash wire doesn't have the other half of the connector on it.I plan on going out to the junkyard this winter to try and find a new rear harness for the truck. If I still have any problems,i'll update the thread. Thanks a million for all the help.

Hey ya'll,I accidentally deleted the email account I used for FTE,so I wasn't able to log on.

Anyways,I finally got around to getting a new Rear Taillight Harness.I was lucky enough to find one that wasn't molested from an 82 F150.I matched it up to the main harness on my truck, and the wires are all the same.I also checked my Hayne's manual, and all the colors match up with the manual,so i'm good to go.I plugged it in,and I only had two problems.Brake lights don't work, and neither does one of the reverse lights.I'm pretty confident that the problem with the brake lights is with the stoplight switch on the brake pedal. With the reverse light, the reason it's not working is because the metal piece that the bulb makes contact with in the socket rusted out and broke,so I think a new socket will fix that.I tested the two wires leading in to the socket, and there is power leading to the socket.I'm a happy man.lol.One question I do have is about a small one wire plug that comes out of the harness near the connector.I can't seem to find it on the wiring diagrams,so maybe someone on here knows what it is.It looks to be a factory plug, but I don't think it's for trailer wiring or anything like that. The wire looks to be just plain black. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure the wire isn't brown?

Looks like the plug for the license plate lamps short "wye" harness, or rear marker lamps.

As for your email account being deleted, why did that stop you from logging in. Or did you forget your password?

I've changed my email account on several occations here with no problem.

Yes,it's black. What exactly plugs into it?Cause both the license plate lights work with nothing plugged into it...

As for the email,I accidentally typed in the wrong password and clicked the "remember me" button, and after a couple weeks away from here I had forgotten the real password, and since the email was deleted,I couldn't ask for a new one.
