posting for a friend.. intermittant a/c problem

hey guys, a friend of mine is have a little trouble with his truck, its a 00 f250 auto. the clutch engages and disengages perfectly but its like the blower motor doesnt work but it will kick on and start working and i watched with the hood up and the compressor is doings its job. once it starts working it will keep working until you shut it off, then the whole process starts over. kinda confused here.

So the blower motor doesn't come on? Or the clutch is engaging disengaging and then not reengaging? Blower motor doesn't work in any speed? No air out of the vents?

no the blower motor just seems to cut out. the compressor is acting normal it just stop blowing all together and the will start blowing out of nowhere.

I had the blower motor on mine do that. Would stop and start on its own. I could rap on the motor with a screwdrive handle (at the firewall on passenger side) a few times to get it going temporarily but it eventual died during a trip thru Phoenix. Not hard to change.
