These are the correct unmarked "pent roof" valve covers for all 1965/66 cars/trucks.

1958/64's have rounded valve covers without provisions for oil caps, as these early engines have a separate oil fill tube.

1967/76's have Powered by Ford on them.

The Dry Type air cleaner is either from a 1968/71 passenger car or 1968/72 F100/350.

This type of air cleaner has a companion shroud/tube that bolted to the right exhaust manifold. The tube slips into the opening at the bottom of the air cleaners snout.

All 1965/66 F100/350's came with Oil Bath air cleaners, regardless of whether an I-6 or a V8.

The valve covers/air cleaner were not painted that awful pea green color originally...that's for sure.

The only FE engine that had green valve covers was the one year only 361 used in 1958 Edsels.

Ah yes, the green color makes them look funny to me. They looked rounded, but your observation, Bill was better.

J2H, around here we depend heavily on each other - and upon our opinions as well. Just remember that everyone has one, and like every else's you-know-what, every one of them stinks sometimes.
We engage in a lot of good natured ribbing too, so don't worry that you offend anyone.
Bill, aka NumberDummy brings incredible value to the group here, because, well read his sig line.
John Wilkerson, Garbz, camperspecial65, ddavidv and a many more great guys - and some gals! - (not trying leaving anyone out here!) bring a whole lot to the table because we have been working on these trucks for many years trying to make improvements and things work as simply and effectively as possible.
So, you are MOST WELCOME to FTE, and we are very glad you are here!
Where else will you find a bunch of great folks that like old Ford trucks and give you advice for free??!!

Not so, The Truck takes what you give it and runs accordingly. The Woman Takes what you give her and expects the same always and usually wants more. That is why there is Divorce Court and a 75% chance that the woman you marry will leave you for greener pastures. Stick with the Truck, if you treat it right it will always be there for you unless your EX gets it in the settlement. <o></o>

JRB, you have a lot to learn! There are bad women out there and there are also some bad trucks. Most of them turned bad from not being treated well in the past.

Bdox,
Its called Wisdom and if you live enough life you will learn that. As far as having a lot to learn, I learn everyday I wake up an breath and will until I die and meet the one that is all knowing. I am talking from the experience of having a great wimmins as you call them Jo Williker and still have her and my trucks. See you can have your cake and eat it too if your smart. The reason I still have my trucks is I found someone that knows this is my passion and wouldn't ask me to give it up as I know her pations and wouldn't ask her to give them up. As far as people turning bad from being treaded bad in the past I call that bunk. It's experience and life lessons that make a person who they are and if they decide to turn into a total butt because of their past then that is their choice. It's like a person who says they are not a morning person, Thats a choice that they conciencly made, not a genetic fingerprint in their DNA. Now to keep the peace if you want to continue this conversation lets do it in PM.

Say Bill,
Do you know if FoMoCo ever sent out any unmarked "pent roof" valve covers that were CHROMED? ....Maybe on the T-birds or some other engine dress-up package?

Thanks!

I am having problems with my women... wife and I are going through a divorce, and I got a gal over in Italy who is talking about not waiting for me anymore... so all I have right now is the truck, and I don't have it physically yet.. :-( On a good note, I bought the bushing kit for the transmission sloppiness for 22 dollars.

JH2,
I put one of the Bushing Kits in my truck and I couldn't believe how much easier it shifted. That bushing kit is a real son of a gun to put in but its worth the busted knuckles. Sorry to hear about the Women Problems. Been there and it sucks. Good Luck.

Sure...you bet, they were an option...want the part numbers?

They were available by themselves, or part of the engine "Dress Up" package. Shelby 427 Cobra's used these covers thru 1966.

Ford also offered chrome valve covers for 1961/64 352/390/406/427's which are rounded without holes in them.

These were available plain (normally seen on 406/427's), or with F O R D (352), M E R C U R Y (390), or T H U N D E R B I R D (390).
