Door panel idea's

Here is an idea, have also heard of putting chrome diamond plate panels overlays where the silver part around the window crank and the lower black area.

Try a thread search on "door panels idea's" I have seen some pretty cool ideas on there.

Its easy to change the arm rest pad to change the color up a bit. I think you can get diamond plate in different colors, red, blue ect...

Can also get some lower map pocket/drink holder panels from a 80 ish and up truck?

Believe it or not, these folk make custom panels for the dent sides: http://www.roddoors.com/

I've been contemplating this too. Some things I'm considering are aluminum panels, or maiking my own out of 1/8 inch plywood.

Good question. You might want to check out a restoration board.

Here is mine with diamond plate overlays. Once you pop off the panel, you can take a needle nose pliers and gently squeese the tabs and the overlay comes right off.

good luck and have fun with it!

I saw a presentation by the guys from rod doors. You can mold in your own arm rest with their stuff. I/ve seen rodders use light wood with foam padding glued to it. The wood is glued to the doors. The whole thing is upholstered.

I bought new door panels from Dennis Carpenter; they worked out really well. It ran about $200.

I just received the same pair (although yet to install) and they do look nice. I'm pleased so far.
