'88 Ranger headlight problems
On my Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 Year 1988 2.9L engine , the headlight does not work any more.
Everything else works perfect / I checked the fuses and if I measure the voltage , the low beam has 12 V , but on the high beam is no voltages at all. Also the blue light for the high beam in the instruments does not work any more.
I have 12V on the low beam and the ground cables seem to be ok. But if I test he low beam circuit with a 12V bulb , it does not work. That is the point , that I do not understand.
If there would be no voltage , the bulb could not work , but there is voltage and it still does not work.
Could it be the high beam/ low beam swich at the steering weel? Or what could be broken?
I would be thankful , if anyone could help me with that, it would shorten my searching time for the problem.
Thank you from Germany / Black Forest !!!
