I have a 76 Highboy I am planning on dropping in a 6.9IDI. I pulled the bad 390 out today. Has anyone on here done this before, I was wondering how they did their motor mounts?
Thanks for the help, sorry but you cannot recommend a Cummins, I don't have one of those in stock, and although I know this will not be a free project, I would like to do it as cheaply as possible using parts I have in stock, like my 3 old junked out 80s model Ford truck sitting in the bushes, and the two 76 model trucks sitting next to them. One day I am going to put a Cummins in my 88 Ford, but its gonna be a while. This is only my second diesel conversion, I put a 353 Detroit in a 85 Chevrolet, cool truck, very useless, it only runs 60. Good mileage, but useless truck, won't pull anything.
I am very interested once you get started keep a build going for us once I get my 73 built I am going to try to find a 70s ford dually to put a diesel in for a truck hauler.
