Anyone know the size and threads on a starter bolt on a 2003 7.3. Went to Ford 50 miles away and he had one about the size of a pencil.I told him it was bigger so he said he could try to order one but 50 miles is too far on a " it might fit".Another shop is trying to order one but I don't know if his will fit. It only has 2 and the bottom one fell out and the top one was on the way.I cut it off in the middle of no where. That was a great time to discover the missing bolt.I got the top one tight enough to crank and get home.
Get in touch with Ed he will be able to help you out. He is a great guy and has gotten part #'s for people in the past and even told them to buy it locally because it would be cheaper for them to do so because of shipping.
Ford part # for the bolt is 390926-S36 There are 2 per pack. I still have not found size and pitch. This web site has them and shows 3/8-16x1.62 but can't make heads or tails of the numbers. https://www.certifiedfordparts.com/ford-f350-parts.html They are $7.58 here. They do fit. I put mine on yesterday. The guy that got mine charged me $ 27.00 for mine. When you are in a tight people don't mind breaking it off in you. I hope this helps some of you guy's. Carl
