So, does anyone know whats wrong with my A/C. So when I am driving the air will be blowing normal and it will be nice and cool, but if I hit the brakes and come to stop at a stop light or stop sign the air will become warm. As soon as I hit the gas and take off again the air will start to cool back down. Any ideas... is the refrigerant low??????
is the refrigerant low??????
May be, there are relays in the system for high & low pressure one may be bad?? also sensors that control high & low temps. Not a lot of help but some things to get tested.
That also may be a sign that the compressor seals are going out. The compressor is not compressing at low RPM. Have you looked to see if it is spinning at idle? belt loose, slipping?
Could also be a weak magnetic clutch. or a power problem to the clutch. the clutch my be slipping at idle due to the alternator spinning slower. ( hence power to the clutch)
Another thing to check is the Blend door actuator and controller. if the blend door is still operated by vacuum, high vacuum at idle may pull the blend door to the hot side. As soon as you take off, vaccuum lowers, allowing the blend door to swing the other way.
