I did not get out last night either. Just beat from fixing septic tank and cleaning up the yard. Besides some guy came out and bought a $100 in parts for a 77 Lemans. Needed that after the new pump.
I just got home from the show and shine.
Lots of nice cars. I liked the1913 Ford roadster. Nice, not ford 59 Cadillac baritz and the way a 1960 2dr Chev was done. It was ground down to bare metal. No filler. Then clear coated. It also had a semi nude woman painted on the trunk.
There was a belly dancer dancing in the streets. SH egot a lot of guys attention.
I hung around the 61 Valiant car. It was a 4dr. But talking to the guy he is giving me a 62 Valiant wagon for parts for my signet. It sounds like it has a running engine. So I may transfer the engine and brakes over to my signet and get it on the road. Now to find the time.
There were 2 nice 64 galaxie 2dr hardtops there. Both looked like fairly cleanly done restorations. I don't know what it is about that body style but it is by far my favorite ford.
One thing that dissapointed me, and always does cuz there aint many around in good shape, is the lack of 67-79 bodystyle ford trucks. I think I saw 3 there and none were 4wheel drive.
I saw a 76 Red in color wat down by 4th ave. It had a for sale sign. It was a F250 and across from him was a 75 2 tone brown truck
There was thwe one 4x4 It was lime green
I seen it around and left it a calling card about this site in the past. No response. It is get pretty beat now, he uses it in offroad stuff a lot.
There were a few early 67-72 trucks, but not really that specilly done up. They all kinda needed some TLC work.
I've fixed the exhaust on that 1976 lime green Ford with the fake hood scoop. He thinks the 351W in it is stock cause the guys at PartSource told him it was.
There was a couple of vehicles there I have done the exhaust on. There was that flat black GMC with the moon discs.
I was hoping for more fully built engines. Lots of the valve cover, intake and carb stuff. Some crate engines and I think the only one that really seemed done was the one hemi with the hillborn style intake.
