Employee problems....OT RANT

hey guys. my lazy butt just got in after only working 16 hours today. he's gone. he called me today after not hearing from him all week. he starts telling me how crazy things have been for him. i said yup, try working two 40 hour shifts trying to pick up someone's slack. i told him i would send him his check and he said he was sorry and wanted to come back to work. i told him as of now he's fired. he confirmed what i figured....hung over monday, then been drunk all week. then he appologized and said that he counted me his friend and didn't want to get old and die with no wife and no friends. i'm usually pretty big with the sympathy, but i can't stand the thought of him coming in drunk/hungover and wrecking my dumptruck or something. oh well.
